The stage was set at Robin Lake in Pine Mountain, Georgia for the 49th annual Masters Championships with Will Asher ready to reclaim the title of Masters Champion.
Saturday was elimination day and the pressure to perform was intense. Will Asher came off the dock and had a strong pass, which caught everyone’s attention. Will was ripping through the course, and his ski was charging hard. He finished off Saturday with a 5 @ 39.0 off performance and awaited the finals on Sunday. Wade Cox was quick to point out that Will was in noticeably more control than anyone else out on the water. It probably had a lot to do with the new Syndicate A1 he was riding.
The Syndicate A1 waterski was launched Saturday night at the Masters. It kicked off the start of a new generation of skis: waterskis built to create more angle on the slalom course. The A1 (Angle Class, 1st Generation) was hand shaped by 5-Time World Champion Bob LaPoint and digitally fine-tuned with CAD by Syndicate engineer, Dave Wingerter, for unmatched angle creation. The A1 comes with a matte black finish, functional shaped nose, hybrid concave design, a wider tail, 5-stage rocker line, and CNC-machined core for a ride with unmatched velocity and stability.
Championship Sunday brought out some great skiing and an exciting finish. With Chris and Jamie both skiing well, Will closed out the day and his competition with a stellar 5 @ 39-off performance on his new 66.25” A1 to be crowned the 49th Masters Slalom Champion! The victory gave Will his second Masters Championship in the last 3 years.
Congratulations to Will Asher on an incredible Masters performance! And congratulations to the Syndicate A1 design team for crafting a championship ski!
