Performance Guarantee Regulations for HO Omni Ultra Water Ski

With decades of design experience under our belt, we believe in the products we create. In fact, we are confident enough in our new Omni Ultra that we are now offering you a Performance Guarantee for 2025. It's simple: we believe the Omni Ultra will outperform every other ski in its class.

To ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and confidence in the performance of the Omni Ultra, the following establishes the terms and conditions under which a performance guarantee is offered.

1. Scope:

This performance guarantee applies to only the HO Omni Ultra  purchased directly from authorized retailers and www.hosports.com . The guarantee is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

2. Duration:

The performance guarantee is valid for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase.

3. Conditions for Guarantee:

  • The performance guarantee applies only to the ski's intended use, which is recreational and competitive water skiing.
  • The ski must be used according to the manufacturer’s guidelines, including proper maintenance, handling, and storage.
  • The ski must be free from alterations, modifications, or misuse by the purchaser.

4. Performance Criteria:

  • The guarantee covers instances where the user feels that the ski fails to meet expected performance standards and control based on manufacturer specifications.
  • The user must demonstrate reasonable effort in adjusting to the ski, including seeking advice from the dealer or authorized service providers on the best fin and binding settings for their specific use case.

5. Procedure for Claim:

  1. The purchaser must notify the dealer or HO Customer Service (HOCS@hosports.com) within 30 days of purchase if they believe the ski does not perform as expected.
  2. The purchaser must provide proof of purchase, including the date, location, and any documented attempts to remedy performance issues (e.g., tuning or adjustments).
  3. HO Sports will provide a return shipping label to ensure the consumer incurs no cost if the ski is being returned. 
  4. The ski must be returned in its original condition, free from major damage, beyond standard wear and tear and the ski must be shipped in the same manner as when it was shipped; with proper padding/protection to prevent damage in transit.

6. Resolution Options:

Upon verifying the claim, the dealer or www.hosports.com will offer one of the following options:

  • Store Credit: Full credit toward the purchase of another HO product.
  • Refund: A refund equivalent to the original purchase price of the ski.

7. Exclusions:

  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or improper maintenance.
  • Alterations or repairs not authorized by the manufacturer.
  • Claims made after the 30-day period.

8. Amendments:

The manufacturer reserves the right to amend or cancel this performance guarantee at any time, with changes applicable only to skis purchased after the date of amendment.

This regulation aims to ensure customer satisfaction while protecting the manufacturer from misuse and improper handling of the HO Omni water ski.

 

HO Sports Performance Guarantee

Internal Customer Service Procedures

Dealer Purchase Scenario:

  1. Upon notification to HO by the dealer, HO CS will ask for purchase documentation (within 30 days) and a photo of the complete top and bottom of the ski to show no damage. 
  2. Dealer has the option to receive a 20% price adjustment to the ski as an incentive to keep the ski in their demo fleet and/or re-sell the ski at a discounted price.
  3. (internal question) are we interested/able to take a full return from the dealer?

Direct Purchase Scenario:

  1. Customer notifies CS of intent to utilize the Performance Guarantee. Upon receipt of documentation/paper trail of attempts to adjust the ski, CS will create an RMA and send a return shipping label to the customer to have the ski returned. Upon receipt of the return, CS will issue a refund to the customer’s credit card.
  2. Customer Service will consult with the skier on possible alternatives that may be more suitable to the skier.
  3. Returned skis should be inspected for potential re-sale condition at a discount on hosports.com. If not in re-sellable condition, skis will be scrapped or written-off and donated to a local ski club.
